Discover how we build Belgium's most comprehensive tech company directory
Techstack Belgium is an open-source directory designed to map and showcase Belgian tech companies. We provide verified, up-to-date information about company locations, tech stacks, and sizes. Our goal is to make it easy for developers, investors, and job seekers to discover and learn about the Belgian tech ecosystem.
Our company database is built from official Belgian business registry data, enriched with company-provided information and community contributions.
Data Snapshot: November 30, 2026
Primary Source: Belgian Central Business Registry (CBE)
We use official APIs: CBEAPI and National Bank of Belgium Developer Portal to fetch company and employee data.
We follow a strict, five-step filtering process to identify qualified Belgian tech companies:
We begin with all registered companies in the Belgian Central Business Registry (CBE) as of November 30, 2026.
We select only companies classified under specific NACE activity codes related to software development and IT services:
• NACE 62010 - Computer programming activities
• NACE 62020 - IT consultancy activities
• NACE 62200 - Other information technology and computer service activities
We verify that companies have at least one physical office location in Belgium, ensuring we represent only companies with actual presence in the country.
We verify companies are still active by checking the National Bank of Belgium for annual account filings in 2024, confirming the company still exists and is operational.
We extract Full-Time Employee (FTE) counts from structured JSON-XBRL annual accounts and remove companies with fewer than 2 FTE. Companies with fewer than 2 FTE are typically owner-managed entities with no separate operational team. For comparability, we exclude these by default.
Is your company missing or outdated? We welcome tech stack submissions and updates. Every verified tech stack contributes to a better understanding of Belgium's tech landscape.
